GERMANTOWN — Germantown's 34th annual Oktoberfest celebration is happening right now, and this year, they have expanded it to two days. Authentic German food and beverages and live entertainment are offered both days, but special tonight is the beginning of the stein hoisting competition, with regionals taking place tomorrow. Oktoberfest runs from now until 9 p.m. tonight, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow, with free admission for all ages. [EaterWire]
FRANKLIN — The 9th Annual Franklin Wine Festival takes place tonight at The Factory in Franklin, featuring over 300 wines, tastings from over 30 Middle Tennessee restaurants including 1808 Grille, Kayne Prime, Watermark and Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q, live and silent auctions and live entertainment.
