The 404 Kitchen Set to Open Its Doors Tonight in The Gulch

Another of this fall's most highly anticipated restaurants kicks its doors open tonight, as The 404 Kitchen in the Gulch officially welcomes its first guests. Having gone through a week of soft openings and VIP previews, executive chef Matt Bolus (formerly of Flyte and Watermark), sous chef/pastry chef Sam Tucker (also previously at Watermark, among others) and general manager Travis Brazil (a former bartender at Aura and Flyte) aim to serve up a "modern take on classical European cuisine," all from the comfort of a re-purposed storage container. A sample menu online shows an unusually tight roster of starters, entrees and family-style sides, including onaga snapper crudo, gulf red grouper, Top of the World Farms red waddle pork and crackled butterball potatoes. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 5 to 11 p.m. Planning on heading over for the opening? Be sure to send any rants, raves, comments to nashville@eater.com.
