Those that were saddened to hear of Music City Flats' demise, rejoice! (And those that were hoping to see a real restaurant overhaul and not just re-branding, well, maybe not so much.) City Fire, the restaurant formerly known as Music City Flats and Urban Flats, appears to be based out of Florida, with two locations sporting the exact same logo as Nashville's impending outpost. But the similarities don't stop there. A look at menus for the three different restaurants (here, here and here) shows quite a bit of overlap, all the way down to the fig and prosciutto and turkey, pear and brie flatbreads. Music City Flats posted on their now unavailable Facebook page back in October that "plans and construction are underway for a new concept opening in the near future. The ultimate goal is to take the Gulch experience to the next level." So maybe they just decided to keep it at the current level?
