Yet another pizza-focused restaurant is coming to Nashville, this one sharing space with a much-loved music venue.
Music City Pizza is currently renovating the lounge area adjacent to 12th & Porter. While the concept description is "full service, casual Italian," the star of the show will definitely be pies, baked in a Marra Forni oven that recently arrived in the states from Naples, Italy.
However, the chefs in charge are a bit more of a surprise. Michael Santoro and Michael Dorris, owners of The Mildred in Philadelphia, are working on the menu concept, which will have a music business theme and showcase pizzas with names such as 'the Demo' and 'the Groupie.' New majority owner Keith Hayman says that they will also be "making pizza pockets shaped like an iPhone, but putting in foodie ingredients." So there's that to look forward to.
