It looks like Nashville is poised for a very big addition to its ever-growing restaurant and nightlife scene. Local sources say that City Winery, the popular restaurant/winery/music venue with locations currently in New York City and Chicago, is planning to open up shop in the Midtown area.
Started in 2008 by Michael Dorf, perhaps best known as the founder of New York City's legendary independent music venue the Knitting Factory, the City Winery concept encompasses a wide range of dining, beverage and nightlife platforms, including a fully functioning winery, live music, several dining options, educational classes on food and wine, and private event space.
