Word on the street is that Dallas-based, upscale restaurant operator Del Frisco's Restaurant Group (DFRG) is on the hunt for space in Nashville. Sources say they are scouting possible locations in the SoBro area to bring their casual-upscale concept Del Frisco's Grille to the Music City (and with the announcement yesterday of a new 400-room Marriott hotel planned for the SoBro area, could this be their future home?).
A more comfort food-oriented restaurant than their steak house concept Del Frisco's Double Eagle, the Grille still serves their signature steaks, while also offering lighter fare for lunch, brunch and dinner.
Del Frisco's currently has seven Grille locations, with one opening earlier this year in Houston and another slated to open within the next week in Santa Monica, Calif.
