The lights will finally come back on at the former Gray's Drug Store in downtown Franklin, as restaurant/entertainment venue GRAYS on Main readies for its grand opening celebration next Sunday, July 28. As part of the event, there will be a street party from 7 to 10 p.m. that evening, with GRAYS offering tours of the three-story space, along with bites from the kitchen, the chance to try some of their signature cocktails and live music. The landmark Gray's neon sign will also be re-lit during the event.
The historic three-story property, built circa 1876, will feature a restaurant, bar and music hall, as well as a private space for supper club members. The property was purchased in the spring of 2012 by Andy Marshall, owner of the Puckett's restaurants. Owner/operators of GRAYS on Main are Michael and Joni Cole.
The restaurant will have a soft opening the following Monday thru Wednesday, with Thursday as the first official day of business.
