The Southern Ground Music & Food Festival, which takes places at Riverfront Park on Sept. 27 and 28, has announced this year's culinary lineup. Chefs Stephanie Izard (Girl and the Goat, Little Goat - Chicago), Giuseppe Tentori (GT Fish & Oyster, Boka - Chicago) and Shon Foster (Amangiri - Canyon Point, UT), along with beer sommelier Gary Valentine, will join Southern Ground executive chef Rusty Hamlin in creating food and beverage pairings for the event. In addition, this year's event organizers are also offering a "Foodie" Experience ticket, which will include cooking demos, Q&As and meet-and-greets with the chefs, as well as special access to food, beverages and concert viewing areas.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to sample food from chefs RJ Cooper (Gypsy Soul, Rogue 24 - Washington, DC) and Nashville's own Bob Waggoner of Watermark, along with other local vendors such as The Southern Steak & Oyster and Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, who will create a custom ice cream flavor for the event.
