Frohne Teams With Food Network Host, Buttermilk Road Heads to NYC

Not only are chefs doing great things here locally, but with increasing frequency they are invited to take their talents on the road as well. Here are a couple of upcoming out-of-town events, in case you feel a culinary road trip comin' on.

BRANDON FROHNE — Frohne, executive chef of Mason's and Mason's Bar, as well as founder of the pop-up dinner series Forage South, will be in Naperville, Illinois, on Thursday, July 18 to take part in the "Chef Unplugged" dinner series. Ben Vaughn, star of Food Network's "Health Inspectors," will be co-hosting the event at Liam Brex Kitchen Studios. Tickets for the 5-course dinner with pairings are $75 per person. [EaterWire]

LISA DONOVAN — Donovan, pastry chef at Husk Nashville and founder of Buttermilk Road Sunday Supper, is headed to New York City for a special iteration of her monthly pop-up. The event will take place on Sunday, July 28, at City Grit, the celebrated "culinary salon" run by Sarah Simmons. Donovan will also hold a baking class the day before with an emphasis on hand pies and biscuits. Tickets are $75 per person. [EaterWire]
