HILLSBORO VILLAGE — Tonight at 6 p.m., a Celebration of Life fundraiser will be held at Cabana in honor of bartender and longtime local restaurant fixture Kerry Uhl, who passed away on Aug. 13. Uhl had worked at Cabana since it opened in 2005. The event will include a silent auction, and donations will be accepted to help Uhl's family. [Nashville Scene]

THE GULCHFlyte has announced a series of wine classes entitled "Flyte Club" (in this case, I'm pretty sure they want you to talk about it). Running six consecutive Tuesdays from Sept.10 to Oct.15, guests will learn about finding, ordering and tasting wines from all over the world. The 90-minute classes are $25 per person, and include wine and cheese plates. [Eater Wire]

SOBRO — In conjunction with the Taste of the NFL's Kick Hunger Challenge, and to celebrate their one year anniversary, Etch will be hosting an event on Sept.15 benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. The cost is $100 per person, and includes hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. [Eater Wire]
