It looks as though Nashville is attracting yet another well-known, high-end restaurant brand, as popular Italian eatery Il Mulino has plans to bring their more casual-upscale Trattoria concept to Music City. A recent interview with Il Mulino owner Jerry Katzoff on the Village Voice blog 'Fork in the Road' states that "Trattoria Il Mulino hits Nashville later this year," and local sources have hinted that it could be headed for the downtown Hilton. Hilton general manager Ray Waters, in an interview with the Tennessean in July, stated that he was "in the early stages of talking to restaurant companies about bringing a new restaurant concept to the spot now occupied by the Sports Grille." In a conversation with Eater, Waters confirmed that they are currently in talks with Il Mulino, saying that "Trattoria Il Mulino would be a wonderful addition and a great upgrade for the hotel."
