Well, it appears Music City Pizza was much closer to opening than expected, with an announcement on their Facebook page earlier today stating: "Ladies and Gentlemen of Nashville... I'm very proud to say... We are open for Lunch! Music City Pizza is adjacent to 12th & Porter just off Broadway. We have free parking and PIZZA, PASTA, and GREAT SALADS. Come on by!!!" The concept will eventually be a full service, casual Italian restaurant, but the focus is on pizza with a music business theme. They have also been touting their 'MCPs,' or Music City Pockets, which are apparently pizza pockets shaped like an iPhone. Chefs Michael Santoro and Michael Dorris of The Mildred in Philadelphia are the culinary team behind the concept. Open hours are 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
