Over the weekend the Tennessean reported that Avenue Diner LLC, a new partnership which includes the owners of Tootsies Orchid Lounge and Rippy's, will begin construction next month on a new 24-hour restaurant/bar simply called The Diner. A rendering of the project shows a 14,500 square-foot, three-story building with a rooftop patio, which will be situated at the corner of Third Avenue South and Demonbreun Street. The Diner will serve breakfast around the clock and lunch and dinner seven days a week, with a bar located on each floor. [Tennessean]
