Jamba Juice, the hugely popular "healthy living" beverage and food brand, plans to open its first Tennessee location in the new Elliston 23 mixed-use development. Slated to open in early December, managing owner Sam Whittier says, via press release, that they "are excited to be able to bring this unique, vibrant brand to consumers in Nashville." Whittier, speaking with Eater, said that he just "saw an opportunity and felt that it [was] something that Nashville [would] be excited about." Fun fact about Sam: he and all six of his siblings worked for Jamba Juice while growing up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Franchise owner Cynthia Townsend says that they "are looking forward to expanding....throughout Davidson and Williamson Counties," with plans to open a second location in Cool Springs by the spring of 2014.
