Edley's Bar-B-Que Planned for Old Sylvan Park Restaurant Property; Jeni's Ice Creams Also Rumored

Brace yourself for some crowds, Sylvan Park.

In what might be one of the worst-kept secrets in town, multiple sources with knowledge of the project confirm with Eater that Edley's Bar-B-Que plans to open a third location on the former site of the Sylvan Park Restaurant on Murphy Road. While it's not yet known if a lease has been signed, Eater has gotten word that the popular barbecue spot has spent a considerable amount of time on the design of their would-be new home. Sylvan Park Restaurant, one of the city's oldest meat and threes, closed up shop almost two years ago to the day, relocating to Green Hills. Since that time, the property has changed hands and has been dangled out in front of a number of restaurant concepts, with Edley's appearing to finally be the one to stick.

And as if that wouldn't already draw enough of a crowd, strong rumors also abound that Jeni's Ice Creams could potentially join Edley's as a second tenant. This would make the third Nashville location of the Ohio-based sweets chain (or possibly fourth if their proposed Farmers' Market outpost gets approval). Eater reached out to Jeni's for comment, but did not hear back. Have any intel or details on these projects? Do send them along to the tipline.
