Piggybacking on yesterday's potentially sweet Sylvan Park news, Eater has heard from multiple sources that the previously announced Farmers' Market outpost of Jeni's Ice Creams has indeed been approved and is a go. No word yet from market officials as to when work might get started on the scoop shop, but expect an announcement sometime soon.
And there looks to be a couple of other very familiar names throwing their hats in the Farmers' Market ring, as rumor has it that Burger Up and The Grilled Cheeserie Hey Rooster will be opening up concepts as well. The Burger Up rumor looks to be a pretty solid bet, as Market Director Tasha Kennard told Eater back in July that 'an as yet unnamed concept...based around burgers and salads' would be going to the board for approval. As for food truck The Grilled Cheeserie East Nashville general store Hey Rooster, word is that their concept will focus on their 'Yalls Balls' sausage/cheese balls. And as always, if you have any insider info, please do send it along to the tipline.
