Chicago's Doughnut Vault Is Expanding to Nashville

Looks like restaurateur Brendan Sodikoff has his first project on the books, and it's headed for the Gulch.

Earlier this month Chicago restaurateur Brendan Sodikoff, founder and CEO of multi-concept group Hogsalt, revealed his intention to join Nashville's restaurant scene. With that, today's news shouldn't come as a huge surprise, as one of his existing projects, the popular Doughnut Vault, is indeed coming to town.

The Nashville Business Journal reports that the news was made public at a Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency meeting earlier today during discussions regarding a Thompson brand luxury hotel slated for The Gulch. Doughnut Vault would be one of the planned retail components when the project opens in mid-2016.

Sodikoff, whose Chicago restaurants include Au Cheval, Bavette's, Gilt Bar and Maude's Liquor Bar, among others, is known for opening up new concepts in fairly rapid succession, so don't be surprised if more related news is brought to light in the coming months.
