It sounds as though Hofbrauhaus, the popular 400-year-old brewery and beer hall located in Munich, Germany, is looking at opening a Nashville location, as a source tells Eater that the brewery is currently in franchise negotiations with a local operator, with Opry Mills Mall said to be the proposed location.
Hofbrauhaus, whose current U.S. locations include Chicago, Newport, KY and a new Columbus, Ohio outpost set to open later this month, grants licenses allowing the use of their name, but maintains franchise control over all locations. The menu features their trademark brews, along with wine, non-alcoholic beverages and a long list of German specialties and favorites. Have any insider info? Do send it along to the tipline.
