Rudie's Seafood, Sausage and Taproom, the new East Nashville eatery from Mitchell Deli owner David Mitchell, opened quietly this past Friday. Located in the space formerly occupied by the much-loved sandwich shop, which moved just down the street earlier this year, Rudie's serves up a variety of offerings, including oysters, a small but eclectic array of small plates, sausage dishes and larger entrees, ranging in price from $7 to $24.
In addition, they have also taken over the space previously home to Sip Cafe and turned it into a small beer and cocktail bar, offering draft wine, beer by draft, bottle, can and large format, along with a brief list of classic cocktails. The Nashville Scene reports that the seating situation has also drastically improved, with Rudie's accommodating 61 people inside and another 55 on the back patio. If you plan on checking it out this week, do be sure to send any first impressions to the tipline or let us know in the comments below.
