Popular Hillsboro Village sushi spot Zumi Sushi has given way to Lucky Belly, a new burgers, sushi and shakes concept from Seed Hospitality, the group behind East Nashville's Two Ten Jack. Located at 2119 Belcourt Avenue, the newly remodeled and revamped restaurant opens for dinner at 5 p.m. today.
The menu runs pretty wide open, offering small plates such as the now obligatory takes on Nashville and southern classics like 'hot chicken spring rolls' and 'dynamite tuna deviled eggs.' Korean-style chicken wings and tempura green beans also make an appearance.
There are nine burgers and sandwiches featured, ranging from a hot fish sandwich to the 'Hang Loose,' which features spam tonkatsu as the main protein. Prices range from $10.50 to $12.50.
Similarly, nine signature sushi rolls are offered, with names such as 'Dare Devil' and 'Tropic Thunda' and priced from $11 to $14. A few 'sushi classics' are also made available, holdovers from the previous restaurant, which Seed Hospitality also owned and operated.
And dessert looks to take a bit more of a priority here with seven shakes, all spiked with various alcohols and made with Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, priced at $8 a piece. Along with this, a full bar is available with beer, wine and liquor options.
Going forward the restaurant will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until late.
