Could it be that Chicago chef and Top Chef alum Dale Levitski is headed to Nashville? Quite possibly, as several local sources have mentioned him as a prime candidate for the executive chef position at an as-yet-unannounced restaurant project on 8th Avenue. The restaurant, to be located in the old Melrose Theater, is a partnership between brothers Sam and Ed Reed, Q Taylor and M.L. Rose owner Austin Ray. Eater heard rumor that Levitski would be coming into town soon to consider the position, and a very reliable source reported seeing him on a flight from Chicago to Nashville this past weekend. Levitski, who was a runner-up on Season 3 of Top Chef, most recently helmed Sprout and Frog N Snail restaurants in Chicago. After parting ways with both last October, they shuttered in short order, and Levitski has been taking time off to consider his next move. Have any intel? Send it to the tipline.
