City House's Tandy Wilson Is a 2014 James Beard Finalist

The James Beard Foundation has just announced the final nominees for the 2014 James Beard Awards, and chef Tandy Wilson of City House is once again a finalist for Best Chef: Southeast. The 404 Kitchen and Pinewood Social were semifinalists for Best New Restaurant when that announcement was made back in February, but didn't make the short list. Other finalists with local ties include Sean Brock, executive chef at Husk Nashville (but nominated for McCrady's in Charleston, SC), for Outstanding Chef, as well as The Barn at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tenn. for Outstanding Wine Program. And, with his impending expansion to Nashville, Barbuto chef Jonathan Waxman has been nominated for Best Chef: New York City. Winners in the chefs and restaurant categories will be announced on Monday, May 5 in New York City.
