[Former planned homes of Fulton's Tavern and Second Wind]
After much speculation over the past few months, word comes out today that seemingly defunct hospitality group Atlas Concepts' planned SoBro projects are now officially off the table. The Nashville Post reports that restaurant Fulton's Tavern and coffee bar Second Wind, set for the Encore tower, have stalled permanently, and that another as-yet-unannounced restaurant would most likely be taking over the Fulton's Tavern space. Leasing broker for the property, Austin Benedict, had this to say on the potential new tenant:
We anticipate being able to announce very soon a new restaurant — expanding into the Nashville market for the first time — with which we are finalizing lease negotiations[.] The concept will be brand new to town and fill a void in the current downtown dining options.
Could this new restaurant possibly be Cincinnati's Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse? The group confirmed last week that they are indeed bringing a restaurant to Nashville, and mentioned that if it were to be located downtown, it would be a Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse. Stay tuned for more details as they come available.
