Nashville Street Tacos Opens Tomorrow Downtown

Nearly a year in the making, the doors will officially open tomorrow at 1 p.m. to downtown restaurant Nashville Street Tacos. First announced back in May of last year, the Mexican eatery will be serving up a short menu with 'items that represent the cuisine of the Baja region of Mexico all the way up to Sonoran Mexicali[,]' including burritos, tacos and quesadillas with chicken, steak, shredded beef and fish. Specials such as the 'Famous Sonoran Hot Dog' (a beef frank wrapped in bacon) and toritos (bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with queso and fried) and a small selection of sides round out the menu. Operations manager Matt Wahlstrom tells Eater that beer will be available in about two weeks. He also says that they will be handing out coupons tomorrow during the Tres De Mayo Festival, of which they are the head sponsor. Open tomorrow until 2 or 3 a.m., the restaurant will have limited hours during May, with expanded hours in June, so be sure to check their Facebook page for updates.
