The veritable parade of new projects slated for the Germantown neighborhood continues to grow, with a tea house now in the works. Aptly named Nashville Tea House, the project will be located in the 100 Taylor Street property near 2nd Avenue. Owners Denise McCorkle and Emily Landers, who say that the project stems from their 'passion [for] tea and its unique complex flavors and health benefits,' also tell Eater that they plan for it to be a 'modernized tea house,' offering teas from around the globe sourced from local vendors, as well as grab-and-go food items from popular Nashville bakeries. Aiming for a mid-September opening, their initial plan is to be open weekends only, with hours of 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations will be taken, but McCorkle and Landers say that they won't be necessary for customers that just want to stop by for a quick cup of tea or pastries.
