More Details Revealed For Chauhan Ale & Masala House

Celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan's long-announced new project, Chauhan Ale & Masala House, finally started making headway back at the end of March. Now, in a conversation with the Nashville Business Journal, she reveals more specific details about the restaurant. Calling it a "British pub with Indian influences," Chauhan says that '[t]he bar will serve small plates with Indian influences, while the main dining room will offer "fusion" dishes from around the world and a "traditional Indian section for people who want their Indian fix."' Part of the beverage program will be made up of custom beer offerings, including flavors such as 'English toffee cayenne, a Chai porter, saffron cardamom and a garam masala spiced brew[,]' which they plan to partner with a local brewer in creating. An announcement regarding a chef de cuisine should happen soon, and the restaurant is now slated to open BY August, instead of the previously mentioned June/July time frame, so stay tuned for more info.
