Spark of Life Eyeing Franklin as A Matter of Taste Now Headed For East Nashville

It looks like 'plant-based' Spark of Life Cafe (or SPARK) won't be making it to East Nashville after all, but might be headed south of town. Earlier this week the group posted: 'Our "Plan A" for Spark of Life Café in East Nashville did not work out after all. "Plan B" holds much promise as we thoughtfully consider a couple of awesome possibilities in Franklin. Stay tuned!' Having been slated for the new 1100 Fatherland development, there's no word yet on the reason for the change, but a replacement looks to be in order, as A Matter of Taste, a gluten-free dine-in/take-out spot, will be moving in. Currently located at 2401B Franklin Pike in the Melrose area, the restaurant, which serves a variety of sandwiches, soups and salads, has an opening target date of August 1, and plans to expand their hours and offerings with lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, along with beer and wine lists.
