Is Silly Goose Chef Roderick Bailey Opening Up Shop in Chestnut Hill?

Rumors have flown around for some time now regarding Roderick Bailey, chef and owner of East Nashville's The Silly Goose, opening up a second restaurant, with nothing ever materializing. Now word on the street is that he is planning to set up shop in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood near the Sounds Stadium. Bailey, who last year was voted Food & Wine's 'People's Best New Chef' in the Southeast region, could not be reached for comment, but multiple sources tell Eater that the former Layman Drugstore property at the corner of Chestnut Street and Third Avenue South is the spot. If this holds, it would add a big boost to an already growing area, with Clawson's Pub & Deli underway and two distilleries planned for neighboring Wedgewood-Houston. Got any additional intel? Send it to the tipline.
