Street Food Concept Bartaco Is Expanding to Nashville

In more expansion news, Connecticut-based restaurant group Barteca has plans to bring their casual street food concept Bartaco to Nashville. The restaurant, which specializes in a variety of inexpensive tacos and small plates, currently has three locations in Connecticut, one in New York and a soon-to-open storefront in Atlanta. A representative for Barteca tells Eater that while they can't yet reveal any details about the project, they do anticipate an opening next year. But where might Bartaco be setting up shop? Eater has gotten word that a lease was recently signed for the ground floor corner space of Paul McRedmond's 12 South Center development, currently under construction at the corner of 12th Avenue and Montrose. McRedmond and leasing reps for the property were unable to be reached for comment. Additionally, the restaurant group owns and operates Spanish tapas restaurant Barcelona Wine Bar, which also has a location in Atlanta. So maybe it won't be too far behind?
