A familiar face to the local restaurant industry is back in town, as Jason Brumm, former chef and owner of shuttered Gulch restaurant radius10 and the previous executive chef at Merchants, has rejoined restaurant group Strategic Hospitality. Brumm, who most recently helmed Second Home Kitchen & Bar in Denver, Colorado, having won the job on Food Network show Chef Wanted last year, has reportedly been back in Nashville for about three weeks now, overseeing culinary operations for the group's various concepts.
Brumm has done quite a bit of traveling since closing radius10 in early 2009, working at Butcher's Chophouse in Park City, Utah, P.J. Clarke's in Washington, D.C, then back to Nashville to join the Strategic Hospitality team, including Merchants, before heading off to Denver. (UPDATE: This post has been updated to reflect Brumm's corporate, not kitchen, position with Strategic Hospitality.)
