So the proposed 24-hour Avenue Diner in SoBro seems more and more unlikely to happen, as The Nashville Post now reveals that the owners have come up with a new design which makes the project six stories tall instead of the original four, with floors two through six cantilevered (i.e. 'hanging out') over the sidewalk. The new design, which would increase the project's cost by approximately $1 million, is scheduled to go in front of the Metro Board of Zoning Appeals on Sept. 4. [The Nashville Post]
