There's been quite the delay, but it looks like work is finally poised to start on Trattoria Il Mulino in the Nashville Hilton Downtown. The Nashville Post reports that permits have finally been pulled for the Italian restaurant, which will take over the space that previously housed The Sportsgrille. The size of the build out is a whopping 8,500 square feet, and the permit has a value of $2.23 million.
First rumored about last September, the New York-based restaurant group officially announced their intentions in February, with plans to start construction in April and open in the summer. But with tomorrow beginning the official start of fall, that's no longer a reality. No official word yet on a new projected opening time frame, but with a build out that large, expect it sometime after the first of the year.
