Some expansion news is coming out of Denver, Colorado, as restaurateur and James Beard award nominee Frank Bonanno has plans to grow one of his current restaurants out-of-state. Bonanno tells Eater Denver that he is "looking at expanding and growing the Salt & Grinder concept" and is "seriously looking at....places like Nashville, Dallas, Kansas City." Salt & Grinder, an Italian deli and sandwich shop, just opened this past June. Bonanno, who currently owns and operates ten different restaurants in Denver through his restaurant group Bonanno Concepts, says that his goal is to own the real estate for the new outposts. Be sure to check back for future updates as things progress. [UPDATE: Bonanno tells Eater Nashville that he wants "to bring one or two concepts to Nashville," with Salt & Grinder not necessarily in the mix. He also says that while owning the properties would be ideal, leasing is still an option.]
