Nashville's sparse German and Austrian dining options just took a hit, as West End's Viener Fest has closed up shop. Announced yesterday, the restaurant took to social media to break the news, posting: "To all of our loyal and supportive customers, we regretfully must inform you that Viener Fest is now closed and we will not re-open. We thank you sincerely for all your support and patronage over the past two years and we hope to see you around Nashville as life goes on..." The restaurant opened in January of last year in what some would consider a challenging location off West End near Centennial Park. Eater reached out to the owners for comment, but no word yet on the reason for the closure.
