Some pretty significant chef shuffle news is out this morning, as Treehouse's opening executive chef Todd Alan Martin has announced that he will be leaving the East Nashville restaurant. Martin tells Eater that he is planning a move to Tacoma, Washington to be closer to his family. And while his last day isn't yet set in stone, general manager and co-owner Corey Ladd says that they are currently working together to find the right replacement.
Martin and Ladd opened the eclectic Five Points hot spot just a little over two years ago. Martin's unique cooking style, which marries flavors from Texas, Central and South America and Asia, as well as his ever-evolving menu, helped the Treehouse stand out amid the city's restaurant boom.
So hurry over to grab one last meal with Martin at the helm, and be sure to check back soon for more updates.
