It appears that local chef Julia Sullivan may have finally found a location for her long-planned first restaurant, as multiple sources tell Eater that Sullivan is working with Strategic Hospitality to open a new concept at The Square at Fourth and Madison development in Germantown.
A little over a year ago, word first came out that Sullivan, along with business partner Allie Poindexter, were looking to raise funds for an oyster bar and restaurant called Henrietta + Red, targeting a specific property in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. That restaurant never materialized, but could it now be coming to Germantown?
Sullivan, a Nashville native, worked in New York City in a number of prominent restaurants including Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Franny's and Per Se, before returning to Music City in 2013 to help open Strategic's Pinewood Social. Sullivan parted ways with the project last year, moving on to work with Dozen Bakery and run the kitchen at Germantown's Steadfast Coffee.
All parties are staying characteristically quiet on the project, so if you have any additional intel, be sure to send it along to the tipline.
