LEXINGTON, KY. - Big Shake's Hot Chicken is expanding out-of-state to Lexington, Ky., as the Kentucky Herald-Leader reports that chef/owner Big Shake Shawn Davis plans to open the first of three of the Nashville-based hot chicken restaurants as early as March. Davis, best known for a 2011 appearance on Shark Tank that didn't quite pan out, also tells the Herald-Leader that he plans to open another six restaurants in Nashville. He currently has two in Franklin. [Kentucky Herald-Leader]
EAST NASHVILLE - Little Harpeth Brewing Co. is now in the retail business, having begun canning their Chicken Scratch beer earlier this week. The plan is to initially distribute about 220 cases in Davidson and surrounding counties, with wider distribution in Mid-state Krogers slated for March 1. This makes them the fifth Davidson County based-craft brewer to offer packaged beer. [Nashville Post]
BELLE MEADE - Restaurant and wine bar 360 Bistro has revamped their menu to a more small plates focused-style, now offering only a handful of larger entrees with a wider range of price points across the board. [EaterWire]
