Regular hours begin next Tuesday.

Louisville chef Ryan Rogers, owner of Feast BBQ, has now opened his new restaurant Royals Hot Chicken. Located in the former Taco Punk space in NuLu, their first soft opening was held this past Monday, with another being held tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. EST as they await additional seating and their liquor license.

Rogers, a 2015 Eater Young Gun, first teased the project in an interview with Eater back during the summer. He then jumped into R&D, making the rounds at a number of Nashville's most popular hot chicken restaurants.

For the most part, the menu appears to stick to the usual hot chicken template of plates, sides and desserts, with the addition of a few salads and chicken sandwiches. There's even southern fried tofu for those that want to pass on the fiery fowl. Heat levels range from 'classic fried' to 'gonzo.'

Starting next Tuesday regular hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

So if you plan on checking it out soon, do report back in the comments or via the tipline.
