Back in October, the Nashville Business Journal reported that a three-story restaurant and bar was slated for the former Boots 'n' More space located downtown at 312 Broadway. General details of the project, entitled "Smiths", were gleaned from an application to the Historic Zoning Commission, but it was unclear at the time as to who exactly was behind the new concept. But Eater has now gotten word from sources with knowledge of the project that the owners of Demonbreun's South restaurant and bar are opening up a new venue in the space.

South, which opened in 2012, is owned by Benjie Shirah and Daniel Simmons, who also own The Ivy in Atlanta and Southern Kitchen and Bar in Birmingham, Ala. The new 9,480 square foot Broadway project is said to be operated by Cusaboo Jr., LLC out of Georgia, with an online search showing that company's principal address being listed as The Ivy. No other details are known at this time, so please do send along any additional intel.
