The specialty store will also offer casual lunch and dinner.

The Donelson area just east of town isn't typically known for its progressive restaurant and food culture, but it's landing a pretty unique project for Middle Tennessee, as construction on Homegrown Taproom and Marketplace is slated to get underway.

Described as a "neighborhood craft beer taproom and local food marketplace," owners Robin Davis and Jennifer Starks plan on offering 36 beers on tap, a "casual dining experience" that includes both lunch and dinner and market products from local and regional farmers and purveyors. It appears that they just locked down their soon-to-be home at 2720 Old Lebanon Road a few weeks ago, with construction planned to begin within the next month in hopes to be open by the summer.
