Nearly a year and a half has passed since word started circulating about Trattoria Il Mulino, the more casual sister restaurant to New York City's Il Mulino, expanding to Nashville. And at long last, there are finally concrete details about the opening, as the Italian restaurant is set to begin service at the Hilton Nashville Downtown on March
The expanding concept, which also has locations in New York, Orlando and Atlantic City, takes over the former Sportsgrille space on the ground floor. The 5,600-square-foot restaurant will feature both indoor and outdoor dining, with 1,600-square-feet dedicated to an outdoor patio and separate bar.
Only dinner will be available for the first two weeks, with chef Thomas Cook, previously the executive chef at Prime 108 in Union Station Hotel, at the helm. He'll be working off of a menu created by Il Mulino New York's executive chef Michele Mazza, but will be adding some dishes specific to the Nashville location. Lunch and brunch service will begin on March 23, with an official grand opening planned for March
So be sure to check back often for updates and additional intel.
(UPDATE: Trattoria Il Mulino's soft opening has been pushed back to Wedensday, March 18, with the grand opening now set for Monday, March 30.)
