DeSano Pizza Bakery in Midtown just got a major upgrade, as this past Thursday they unveiled a new bar and dining area, essentially doubling their existing capacity.
The space, located at the right front of the building, had been vacant since DeSano opened back in 2012. But now it will see full use, with seating for over 150, including 10 seats at the new beer and wine bar. There are also five flat screen televisions, with a 10-foot HD projection television on the way. And a large roll-up garage door takes up the wall facing 16th Avenue.
Currently, the new room will be open to the public from 4 p.m to 12 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, with the possibility of those hours and days expanding during warmer months. But management tells Eater that a primary reason for opening up the new space is to have the ability to host private events, which the room would be available for throughout the week.
