After nearly a year on the hunt, Cincinnati, Ohio-based restaurant group Jeff Ruby appears to have found a space for their first entry into the Nashville market, announcing plans to sign a lease tomorrow at the UBS Tower downtown at 315 Deaderick Street.
An official announcement will be made tomorrow as well regarding the exact restaurant concept, but the media alert details that Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse will be in Nashville "by late 2015." This falls in line with what Britney Ruby Miller, director of operations for the group and daughter of Jeff Ruby, told Eater back in April, saying that if they went downtown it would most likely be a Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse. However, a steak and sushi tasting is also teased for tomorrow's event, and a quick once-over of all of their restaurants' menus shows no sign of sushi. So perhaps they are looking to change things up a bit?
Ruby also owns and operates a steakhouse in Louisville, with another planned for Lexington, Ky. in 2016. Other Cincinnati concepts include Carlo and Johnny and The Precinct.
