Sean Brock, executive chef of Nashville's Husk outpost, was also nominated for Outstanding Chef for Husk in Charleston, SC; Jonathan Waxman, chef/owner of local spots Adele's and Bajo Sexto, was nominated for Best Chef: New York City for Barbuto; The Barn at Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN received a nod for Outstanding Service; Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman of Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen in Memphis were recognized for Best Chef: Southeast; and Allan Benton, purveyor of that ubiquitous bacon out of Madisonville, TN, was named as a 2015 James Beard Foundation Who's Who of Food and Beverage in America Inductee.
The book, broadcast and journalism awards will be presented at a dinner in New York City on April 24, with the winners of the Chef and Restaurant awards being announced at the official Awards Gala & Reception on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
