Construction of the Germantown outpost of Donald Link's New Orleans temple of cured meats, Cochon Butcher, is moving steadily along. And while it's still too early to call out an opening date, a recent event announcement at least gives an idea of when it will most certainly be open by.
Southern food publication The Local Palate is now selling tickets for an event on Sept. 18 called 'Bourbon and the Butcher,' featuring Butcher executive chef Levon Wallace and taking place at the new restaurant at 1120 4th Avenue North.
It's been reported in months past that Fresh Hospitality's Germantown Market project, of which Cochon Butcher is a part of, is shooting for an August opening. A rep for Butcher tells Eater that they don't have a date yet, but should soon.
