Hattie B's Is Debuting Their Hot Chicken Sandwich at 11 a.m. Today

Hot chicken fans, brace yourselves. This morning at 11 a.m., Hattie B's Hot Chicken will be letting loose their first-ever hot chicken sandwich on the general public. And it will only be available in 12 South. The launch was teased earlier this week, with the following announcement posted earlier this morning:

Today we make history. If you would like to be the first to try one of these delicious Nashville HOT Chicken sandwiches, we will be serving them up for lunch at the corner of Kirkwood and 12 South today @whitesmercantile. Yes, seriously...starting at 11am.

Executive chef John Lasater tells Eater that the new creation is called 'The Hattie Bright,' made up of a boneless thigh on a grilled potato bun, topped with aioli and pickle slaw. Accompanied with spicy Hattie chips, the combo clocks in at $10, with the sandwich $8 by itself. A chicken tender plate with pimento mac and cheese and potato salad will also be available for $10. And of course drinks will be available to help with the heat.

Not only is today everyone's first chance to grab the new sandwich, but it also marks the first time Hattie B's has used their recently launched food trailer as a public pop-up and not just for catering or at special events.

Today's pop-up runs until 2 p.m., but there's bound to be a line, so head that way and do be sure to report back.
