Team Behind Sinema Opening New Restaurant in Melrose Neighborhood

Swanky dinner and nightlife spot Sinema has barely been open a year, and already the team behind the project is on the move, as the Nashville Business Journal reports, via The Nashville Post (behind paywall), that preliminary plans are in the works for a new restaurant in the Melrose area.

Located at 2222 Eighth Avenue South, the property was formerly home to a car dealership. Just within the past several weeks the existing structure has been demolished and the property surrounded by construction fencing.

The Post article gives very few details, with Ed Reed, an owner in Sinema and future owner in the new restaurant, simply stating that they "are excited to share more details about [their] next project in the coming months[.] Stay tuned."

It's been known that the Reed family, the primary backers of Sinema, along with the restaurant's executive chef Dale Levitski, had plans to open up additional concepts in the future. And while The Post doesn't give any additional information about the owners, a rep for the restaurant confirms with Eater that Levitski will indeed be involved in the new project.
