Steadfast Coffee Plans New SoBro Coffee and Cocktail Cafe

Their looking at a September opening.

Germantown's Steadfast Coffee is still just settling into their permanent digs at The Warehouse at Sixth and Taylor, but already they have expansion plans, as a new cafe is slated for SoBro's Encore condo development.

The Nashville Post reports that Steadfast co-founders Jamie Cunningham, Nathanael Mehrens and Sean Stewart, along with managing partner Steve Pearson, have leased 1,326 square feet at 301 Demonbreun Street to open a cafe serving coffees, teas and pastries by day, then switching to dinner and cocktails, craft beer and wine at night.

Executive chef Julia Sullivan, former Pinewood Social sous chef and veteran of several top-shelf New York City restaurants, will continue the work she's done at the Germantown location, with added help from pastry chef Beth Owens and chef de cuisine Anne McKinney.

For those that may recall, a coffee shop entitled Second Wind was originally slated to open in the Encore back in late 2013/early 2014, but that deal fell apart when the project's backer, Atlas Concepts, hit major financial troubles.
