New York City Vet Alex Grainger IN as New SILO Executive Chef

More changes are happening in the kitchen at SILO, as New York City transplant Alex Grainger (pictured below) has taken over the position of executive chef for the Germantown restaurant. Grainger replaces Chris Lewallen, SILO's former sous chef who was promoted to the head position after opening chef Larry Carlile parted ways with the restaurant last October.

Grainger tells Eater that he moved to Nashville several months ago, and has officially been at the restaurant for just a week now. But already changes can be seen, as the menu was given an update earlier this week with new dishes including charred octopus, grilled cauliflower steak and seared potato gnocchi.

Prior to the move, Grainger spent the last year and a half as the chef de cuisine at Left Bank in New York City, after actively working as a chef for a number of years in Florida.
