Bar Luca, a small, "community-oriented" wine bar and restaurant, is currently under construction in East Nashville. Located at 1100B Stratton Avenue next to Moto Moda, co-owner and East Nashville resident Abi Hewitt describes the project as a "friendly neighborhood bar, created by the community, for the community," citing the large team behind the project, including Matt Alexander (Holler Design) and Luck Stockdale (Sideshow Sign Co.), among others.

Hewitt says that the bar will feature a regularly changing wine list curated by local wine consultant Robin Riddell Jones, as well as liquor and beer. Molly Martin of The Food Company in Green Hills is crafting the menu, which will consist of cheese boards and charcuterie, along with "simple and easy" seasonal hot and cold small plates.

The space itself will have 48 seats, with a mix of bar, banquette, two-tops and community tables. Plans are to be open for lunch and dinner, with the restaurant being closed on Mondays.
